General News : BEYONCÉ’S MUSIC COMING TO APPLE FITNESS+ WORKOUTS

Beyoncé has been tapped up to be featured in the Apple Fitness+ app’s Artist Spotlight series, which builds workout routines around a single musician’s catalogue.

According to Billboard, Apple announced the collection of seven specially curated workouts — including cycling, dance, HIIT, pilates, strength, treadmill, and yoga — on Thursday (January 5). The soundtracks will include songs from Renaissance, which became her seventh album to top the Billboard 200 album chart when it was released last August.

The Beyoncé-inspired collection of workouts will be available through the Apple Fitness+ app on Monday (January 9). The Artist Spotlight series has previously included sets based around music by Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, Prince and The Weeknd, to name a few.

Apple Fitness+ also shared the news via Instagram, with a series of photos showcasing Disco ball-themed exercise gear.

Bad Bunny is also set to be added to the program, with a spotlight arriving two weeks after Bey’s on January 23.

In addition to offering users more music-driven content for the new year, Apple has also announced a promotion that will grant three months of free access to anyone who hasn’t previously registered for Apple Fitness+ with the purchase of a new iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Apple TV.

New subscribers who sign up for the service using a device they already own will receive one month of free access.

With the release of her seventh solo studio album, Renaissance — her first offering since her 2018 collaboration with JAY-Z on Everything Is Love — Beyoncé notched one of the highest first-week sales of the year. The project moved 332,000 album-equivalent units, landing in the No. 4 position below Drake and 21 Savage‘s Her Loss, which sold 404,000 album-equivalent units.

SZA grabbed the No. 5 position with SOS, while Kendrick Lamar‘s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers came in at No. 7.

Queen Bey is reportedly working on two more projects to complete the Renaissance trilogy, including another full-length collaboration with JAY-Z for the third and final installment of her Renaissance series. The “Act II” of the collection is rumored to be an all acoustic album.

Beyoncé leads all of the nominees for the upcoming 65th Annual Grammy Awards with nine nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar with eight. Adele trails with seven nods, while Future, Lizzo and Mary J. Blige each have six.

The nods push her career total to 88, making her the most nominated artist in Grammys history — tied with her husband JAY-Z, who added another three nominations to his name thanks to his show-stealing verse on DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID.”

With just four wins, Queen Bey could become the most awarded artist in Grammys history.
